Technology

Skin contact fermentation, without stem. Wine is aged in French oak barrels for at least 6 months.

Aromas

The wine has golden, crystaline color. It is distinguished by a soft, velvety taste of tropical fruits and a long citrus fnish. On the other hand, during aging in oak barrels, wine is enriched with smooth aromas of vanilla and almond. Soft notes of oak and aromas of ripe white fruits combined with cheerful acidity create a harmonious character of the wine

What makes “Rkatsiteli from Tsinandali” Vardiashvili distinguished:


60-80 years old vineyards in the center of Tsinandali micro-zone (PDO). Unique Rkatsiteli grapes are grown in this specific vineyard because of the following reasons:

1) TSINANDALI micro-zone is characterized by the special soil, that allows the Rkatsiteli vines to reveal the maximum of its potential and to produce the Rkatsiteli grapes with intensive structure and complex aromas. TSINANDALI micro-zone is characterized with lower PH in the soil, therefore it allows the wine, made with the Rkatsitel grapes from that terroir, to develop higher titric acidity and thus enrich the wine with long-lasting cheerful citrus notes.

2) In this vineyard, grapes are grown naturally without use of the harmful chemicals;

3) As vines are old, the roots are went deep into the soil, which allows vines to maximally absorb diverse minerals. On the other hand, old vines produce a lower quantity of grapes, therefore, the quality of the grapes is very high.
